About
Who we are, what we believe, and how decisions get made here.
Northern Baptist Church began in 1947 in a rented schoolroom with eleven families. The North Church Street sanctuary was built in 1963 and renovated in 2014. Four generations have now been baptised in the same waters.
To know Christ, care for our neighbours, and send our people out with the gospel.
A congregation where every person is known by name, cared for in hardship, and equipped for the work God has given them.
Scripture first. Households together. Honest community. Generous hands. Faithful presence in our town.
Members promise to walk together in love, to pray for one another, to give cheerfully, to raise children in the faith, and to seek reconciliation quickly.
A congregational church led by a pastoral staff, a board of deacons, and trustees. Annual budgets and major decisions go to a members' meeting.
